For term 1 and term 2, we focus on Te Reo Maori, New Zealands native language. In term 3 and term 4 we will be learning french.



Term 4:
This term, we have carried on learning French. Today (8.12.11) we have done our end of year French Assessement. It was a mixture of numbers, greetings and phrases. I got 100% :)




Term 3:

We have now started learning French; Meeting, Greeting, Our Likes/Dislikes, Monuments and Cuisine.

I put together a presentation about France, it's monuments and cuisine. It is below:



We have learnt how to greet/meet others, and we have learnt simple phrases and objects. We are also working on our french accents :P

For Maori at the moment we are learning the days of the week and main greetings and conversations.

Days of the week:
Monday: Rāhina
Tuesday: Rātu
Wednesday: Rāapa
Thursday: Rāpare
Friday: Rāmere
Saturday: Rāhoroi
Sunday: Rātapu

Now we're moving onto greeting and meeting each other in Maori. In groups of about six we are to put together a movie to portray what we have learnt. My group is Ella, Livvy, Brad, Jayden and Chester.
I'll post the movie on as soon as I can!

We are now learning how to respond to questions in maori about our feelings.
